Job Summary
This leadership role involves taking charge of the IT Project Management Office (PMO) within the Energy Trading IT division in Aachen. The Head of PMO is responsible for the central steering, prioritization, and strategic planning of all IT projects, including creating and continuously updating the project roadmap and managing resource allocation, budgets, and timelines. Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and optimizing project management standards, methods (both classic and agile), and tools. The role requires strong leadership, involving both functional and disciplinary management of the department, serving as a sparring partner for business units, and ensuring transparent reporting of project statuses to senior management and the executive board. A foundational understanding of energy trading, marketing, and supply processes is essential, coupled with fluent German and English skills.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree specializing in (Business) Informatics, Software Engineering, Energy Economics with an IT focus, or a comparable qualification
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in comparable leadership positions
- Proven competence in project management and project controlling
- Proven competence in the introduction of PM standards
