Job Summary

Join a world-leading manufacturer of filling and packaging systems as a Development Engineer focusing on Manufacturing Execution System (MES) interfaces, such as IoT, Manufacturing Data Acquisition (BDE), and Data Governance. This role involves driving the strategy, development, and implementation of standard machine interfaces connecting KHS equipment to higher-level systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading interface strategy discussions with machine departments and end customers, managing projects for interface development, and ensuring quality through rigorous testing (FAT/SAT). You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of KHS machines regarding IoT functionalities and adherence to emerging standards like umati and OPC UA, requiring a strong background in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or computer science, and professional experience with industrial data interfaces and Industry 4.0 concepts. The position requires strong communication skills in both German and English, and a willingness for international travel (5-10%).
