Job Summary

This position calls for an Automation Technology Development Engineer to join KHS, a global leader in filling and packaging systems, specializing in the product development of palletizing technology at the Worms location. The engineer will manage the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through to series maturity, working closely within interdisciplinary project teams. Key responsibilities include leading development projects (planning, execution, controlling, and documentation), defining technical functions from a mechatronic perspective, and creating essential technical specifications (Lasten- und Pflichtenhefte) for suppliers. The role requires a completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on Software Technology or Mechatronics. Critical technical expertise includes professional experience in PLC programming, specifically using Siemens TIA Portal, and knowledge of safety systems like Safety Integrated and Rockwell Studio.
