Job Summary
This role is for a Materials Tester joining a leading European manufacturer of aircraft equipment based in Lindenberg im Allgäu. The primary responsibilities involve conducting mechanical and metallographic materials testing in accordance with customer specifications, general process, and approval regulations. Day-to-day tasks include selecting appropriate testing procedures based on component drawings and specifications, setting up and calibrating testing and measuring equipment, and procuring and reviewing test plans and drawing documents. A critical aspect of the job is the documentation and evaluation of results, including marking faulty assemblies, creating defect descriptions, and generating comprehensive test, investigation, and approval reports. The ideal candidate will possess a completed professional education as a Materials Tester or similar qualification, exhibit a meticulous and structured working style, and demonstrate strong teamwork skills, making this an essential position in maintaining high-quality aerospace standards.
