Job Summary
This role involves supporting the Federal Employment Agency's mission by contributing to the development and maintenance of internal IT applications, focusing heavily on software engineering and infrastructure support. The IT Technician will be responsible for system development, programming, and creating high-performance, stability-critical software components based on technical specifications. Day-to-day tasks include configuring, testing, integrating, and documenting software, alongside localizing and fixing software defects. A critical component of the job is analyzing and resolving operational disruptions within the IT software systems and network infrastructure, including incident handling. The ideal candidate holds a university degree, preferably in Computer Science or Business Informatics, and possesses fundamental knowledge of various programming languages (including Java, C++, C#) and software engineering principles. This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract based primarily in Bonn, with alternative locations in Cologne, Mönchengladbach, or Aachen, offering flexible working hours and the opportunity to work up to 60% remotely.

Experience
- Professional experience in system development and/or programming
- Experience in localizing, analyzing, and eliminating software errors
- Experience in analyzing and resolving operational disruptions (e.g., network infrastructure)
