Job Summary
The Senator for the Interior and Sport is seeking an experienced IT Security Officer to join their Organization department. This crucial role involves managing strategic IT security for the entire department, including developing security regulations, creating comprehensive security concepts, and overseeing the information security process. Day-to-day tasks include handling security incidents, ensuring secure information exchange across various governmental levels, managing reporting, contracts, audits, and promoting security awareness through training. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, organizational talent for operational processes, and deep expertise in BSI IT Baseline Protection (IT-Grundschutz). This position offers a challenging and responsible role within the public sector, contributing significantly to the security infrastructure of Bremen's internal affairs and sports department, with the possibility of flexible work arrangements.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Diploma or Bachelor) in IT Security, Computer Science/Business Informatics, Technology Management, Software Development and Software Engineering, or IT Management; OR a degree in another field with a focus on Computer Science plus a minimum of three years of practical experience in the IT sector; IT Security Officer certification or willingness to obtain the certification
Experience
- Professional experience as an Information Security Officer in conceptualizing and realizing information security documentation
- Fundamentally sound knowledge and practical experience in implementing BSI IT Baseline Protection (e.g., Grundschutzkompendium)
- Practical experience in conceptualizing, describing, and implementing security structures and accompanying techniques
- Multi-year professional experience in public authorities, particularly those involved in police and non-police hazard prevention
