Job Summary

This role supports the secure and uninterrupted operation of IT-supported production facilities (OT) for a leading aerospace communication technology provider in Backnang, near Stuttgart. Day-to-day tasks involve inventorying industrial OT systems, documenting network architectures, communication protocols, and interfaces, and assisting with the porting and migration of systems into new or existing networks. A critical component is providing rapid and effective support to resolve production disruptions, requiring close collaboration between the shop floor, production team, and central IT. Candidates must hold a degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and possess profound knowledge of industrial control systems, network technologies (including Windows/Linux OS), and security concepts like Firewall configuration and VPN. Fluent German is required for effective communication in this critical operational environment.
