Job Summary

This role involves shaping the future of domain-specific AI systems at the BMW Group by designing, training, and operating new industrial foundation models. The Junior AI Engineer will focus heavily on scaling AI workloads by architecting cloud and hardware solutions, optimizing GPU clusters, storage, and networking for maximum throughput and cost control. Day-to-day tasks include engineering and operating end-to-end AI systems, focusing on fine-tuning and scalable serving of modern AI models. A core responsibility is supporting the MLOps layer by building tools for reliable deployment, real-time monitoring, and continuous model improvement throughout the lifecycle.
