Job Summary
This critical role within the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (BAZL) focuses on ensuring the safety and airworthiness of both domestic and foreign aircraft, aligning with stringent international EASA and ICAO standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting detailed airworthiness inspections, identifying and addressing violations, and overseeing the implementation of necessary corrective actions. The inspector will also be responsible for performing acceptance and export checks, issuing airworthiness certificates, and rigorously reviewing and approving aircraft maintenance and reliability programs. Furthermore, you will investigate technical incidents and define appropriate measures. This position is ideal for a highly experienced aviation expert who possesses a completed technical vocational education, coupled with over 10 years of practice in the wide-body or business jet sector, including 5 years in a leadership capacity. The successful candidate will leverage their technical expertise and analytical skills to actively contribute to Swiss civil aviation safety.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational education; Part 66 B1.1/B2 license or equivalent advanced training is advantageous.
Experience
- At least 10 years of practice in the aviation industry with direct reference to wide-body or business jet aircraft.
- At least 5 years in a leadership function.
- Professional experience in conducting acceptance and export checks.
- Professional experience in investigating technical occurrences.
