Job Summary

This critical role ensures regulatory compliance and operational excellence in energy metering and consumption data management within a large industrial setting. The Energy Technology Engineer will be responsible for upholding legal requirements outlined by MessEG, MessEV, MID, and PTB for media billing, overseeing calibration deadlines, and guaranteeing the timely provision of monthly consumption data. Daily tasks include validating consumption figures, conducting thorough error analyses, and resolving discrepancies. A core function involves creating and advancing complex measurement concepts for various media across all sites. Furthermore, you will coordinate maintenance and troubleshooting for metering devices and communication infrastructure (M-BUS), administer the Hochhuth MESSDAS software, and develop automated load control systems to enhance flexibility in consumption and generation plants. The ideal candidate holds a technical degree in Energy Technology or Industrial Engineering and brings multi-year professional experience, ideally gained at an industrial park operator or energy supplier, coupled with deep knowledge of legal measurement standards and network communication protocols.
