Job Summary

The Library IT Specialist will be an integral part of the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg (HAW Hamburg) Information and Library Service (HIBS), actively shaping the IT landscape of the university libraries. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the conception, procurement, and administration of servers, workstations, and specialized library IT equipment, including RFID systems and book scanners. This role requires close collaboration with central IT services, managing network environments, and leading digitalization and IT infrastructure projects, particularly for the future campus library. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science with strong IT knowledge, or a degree in Computer Science/Library Informatics, coupled with relevant professional experience. Required Skills

Education

Experience
