Job Summary
This role requires an expert GNSS Technical Support Engineer to analyze complex client requirements concerning GNSS modules, chipsets (focusing on positioning accuracy and power consumption), and cloud-based data services (RTK, PPP). The core responsibility involves developing tailored solutions that integrate hardware, firmware, and data services, alongside leading technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase module performance and data integration capabilities. Day-to-day tasks include resolving complex technical queries during RFQ/RFP processes, supporting critical on-site module testing (including signal acquisition and interference mitigation), and troubleshooting data service connectivity issues. The ideal candidate must possess 3+ years of relevant experience, a strong background in embedded systems (C/C++, Python), and fluency in both English and German, contributing significantly to BDStar Germany's position at the forefront of satellite navigation technology in Berlin.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geodesy, Geomatics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
Experience
- 3+ years in GNSS technical support experience
- Professional experience with GNSS module/chipset integration
- Professional experience with A-GNSS, multi-band positioning, or OEM configuration tools
Languages
Additional
- Knowledge of EU data compliance (GDPR, cybersecurity) required. Position is full-time and based in Berlin, Germany.
