Job Summary

This permanent position at Leibniz University Hannover's Building Management department involves overseeing complex building services technology for new construction, renovations, and maintenance projects, primarily focusing on experimental university facilities. The core responsibilities span all phases of the HOAI (German Fee Schedule), including conceptual design, detailed execution planning, cost management, and scheduling. A critical focus of the role is contributing to the development and implementation of sustainable energy generation concepts, particularly photovoltaic (PV) systems and renewable energy solutions. The successful candidate will manage tendering processes, coordinate external contractors and engineering firms, conduct construction supervision, and lead project finalization, acceptance, and billing. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with deep knowledge of German construction law (HOAI, VOB) who is committed to driving sustainability within a dynamic, academic environment.

Required Skills

Education

FH Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, HVAC, Hospital Operating Technology, Process Engineering, Energy Engineering, Environmental Technology, or a comparable field. State-certified Technician or Master Craftsman with relevant extensive experience may also be considered.

Experience

  • Long-term practical experience in a relevant engineering field
  • Long-term, profound experience in concept creation, planning, and project work covering all phases (1-9) of the HOAI
  • Experience in new construction projects specifically involving PV and sustainable energy generation systems

Languages

German (Fluent)

  • Knowledge of German Public Procurement Law (Vergaberecht) is required.
