Job Summary

This senior role involves leading the accredited laboratory operations for the Berlin Waterworks, overseeing the organization and performance of approximately 100 employees across multiple locations. The primary goal is to ensure the highest quality of water by analyzing 63,000 samples annually from waterworks, sewage treatment plants, and the pipe network. The Head of Laboratory is responsible for developing and implementing laboratory strategies aligned with corporate objectives, optimizing workflows, and managing capacity planning. A critical focus area will be driving modernization through the implementation of automation, digitalization, and AI within the lab environment. Candidates must bring strong leadership competencies, comprehensive professional experience in quantitative analysis of various water and environmental samples, and deep knowledge of ISO 17025 quality management systems.
