Job Summary
This role involves leading the ERP Application Support team within the University of Freiburg's Central University Administration, driving the digitalization and modernization of administrative processes. The Team Lead holds overall technical and functional responsibility for the university's ERP systems, including HIS-SVA (Personnel/Position Management) and HIS-BAU (Space/Area Management), ensuring stable operation, quality assurance, and continuous development. Day-to-day tasks include managing the team, prioritizing tasks, overseeing system architecture development, planning releases and migrations, and translating complex functional requirements into technical ERP solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with deep expertise in complex IT systems, ERP architectures, and database management, preferably within a higher education context, to shape the future of a modern, service-oriented university.
Required Skills
Education
Completed scientific university degree (Master/Diploma) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Several years of relevant professional experience in the ERP environment
- Several years of practical experience in the operation, introduction, or further development of complex IT systems
- Experience in technical and/or disciplinary leadership of employees
- Experience in a higher education context (e.g., HIS) is ideal
