Job Summary
This role is ideal for an ambitious System Performance Engineer focused on optimizing and stabilizing complex Infotainment systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring the operating system, driver configurations, and system startup processes, while proactively optimizing resource consumption and overall system performance for various applications. A key part of the job involves advanced error detection and analysis of system crashes, requiring close collaboration with testing departments and system software suppliers. Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification, be proficient in embedded software development using C/C++, and have deep knowledge of Unix-based operating systems (Kernel and Userspace) and Android system architecture. Proficiency with performance analysis tools like perf, perfetto, and ftrace is essential for success in this challenging and rewarding technical position.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science or qualification as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) or comparable qualification
Experience
- Routine experience in Embedded Software Development with C/C++
- Experience with Kernel-APIs (ideally)
- Experience in analysis of Coredumps, memory leaks, and Kernel-Traces
- Routine in handling performance analysis tools (perf, perfetto, ftrace, eBPF)
