Job Summary

This is a leadership role focused on managing and modernizing the IT infrastructure for a large hospital network (Klinikverbund Allgäu). The successful candidate will lead the IT System Administration team (currently 3 staff members) while actively contributing to hands-on administration tasks. Key responsibilities include ensuring the future viability of the entire IT infrastructure, managing critical systems like Citrix, VMware, SQL, and Exchange servers, and overseeing network monitoring, storage, and backup systems. The role involves significant project leadership, particularly for IT migration projects, and cross-functional duties such as managing IT security (potentially acting as CISO) and defining standards across the network's IT teams. This position requires proven leadership skills, strong technical knowledge in system administration, and a proactive, analytical approach to improving IT structures within a complex healthcare environment.
