Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position involves comprehensive IT infrastructure management for the State Archive Administration of Rhineland-Palatinate across multiple locations. The core responsibilities include the setup, administration, maintenance, and monitoring of IT infrastructure, services, and networks, which utilize Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization, SAN, and NAS systems connected to the RLP network. The role requires active participation in managing a Microsoft AD domain (including DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and WSUS) and supporting existing Windows and Linux-based application platforms like mail servers and backup solutions. A key component is providing 1st and 2nd level support using a ticketing system, advising departments on technical issues, and maintaining thorough IT documentation. The ideal candidate holds a qualification as an IT Specialist for System Integration or equivalent experience, coupled with strong knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems and network management.
