Job Summary

This is a fixed-term, part-time (20 hours/week) Research Associate position within the Institute for Experimental Physics, focusing on a third-party funded project related to sustainable resource utilization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the hands-on preparation and electrochemical characterization of Aluminum-Polymer battery test cells, including cycling and impedance spectroscopy. Key tasks involve investigating charging/discharging profiles during initial test cycles (formation), modeling and simulating measurement results, and conducting comprehensive literature and patent searches. This role requires a completed PhD in Physics, Chemistry, or a related field, along with knowledge of modeling electronic and ionic transport, particularly electron transfer at interfaces. The position offers an opportunity to publish and present scientific findings and collaborate with external research and industry partners.

Experience

  • Completed doctoral degree (PhD) in Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of modeling electronic and ionic transport, especially electron transfer at interfaces
