Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity for career changers to enter the critical field of railway signaling and safety technology as an Installation Technician. Initially hired on a 12-month fixed-term contract, the successful candidate will receive structured training and qualification to become a Certified Industrial Electrician (Elektrofachkraft in der Industrie). Day-to-day tasks involve installing railway crossing and interlocking technology, performing mechanical assembly work on the track, and supporting experienced technicians. After qualification, the technician will independently execute electrotechnical work. This role requires a strong willingness to travel regionally and nationally, excellent teamwork skills, and a commitment to continuous learning in a stable, established company that is driving the digitalization of rail infrastructure worldwide.

Required Skills

Education

Successful completion of an industrial vocational training qualification (Berufsausbildung). Commitment to achieving IHK-certified Industrial Electrician qualification (paid for by the company).

Experience

  • Successful completion of an industrial vocational training qualification
  • Strong willingness to undergo independent further training in the electrical/electrotechnical field
  • Readiness for regular travel and independent field service assembly work

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Valid Class B driver's license (PKW-Fahrerlaubnis). High willingness to travel for assignments (regional and nationwide deployment). The position is initially a 12-month fixed-term contract.
