Job Summary

This leadership role, based in Düren, requires an experienced professional to technically and disciplinarily lead the Automation Department. Key responsibilities include developing the team, ensuring structured organization of tasks, and overseeing the entire lifecycle of automation projects—managing quality, deadlines, and costs from planning through completion. A critical component of the job involves developing and maintaining robust software standards for PLC and robotic systems, requiring close collaboration with design and project management to create holistic automation concepts. Furthermore, the Head of Department will support commissioning activities both in-house and at customer locations, prepare offers and tenders for supplementary services, and evaluate necessary retrofit measures. Candidates must hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automation Technology, possess multi-year experience in PLC programming for special machine or plant construction, and be proficient in Siemens TIA Portal, S7, and robot programming (e.g., ABB, Yaskawa).
