Job Summary

This critical Application Manager role drives the next era of digitization within the Archdiocese of Cologne, focusing primarily on Human Resources (HR), Document Management Systems (DMS), and integration landscapes. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing central digitization projects, ensuring the technical stability and security of relevant platforms, and optimizing existing applications and data flows. The manager will also provide technical leadership to interdisciplinary teams, manage external service providers, and offer strategic consultation to department leadership, including creating concepts and decision papers. The ideal candidate must possess a university degree in (Business) Informatics or equivalent, coupled with several years of experience in complex digitization projects, system architectures, and software development. Expertise in data protection (KDG/GDPR) and information security (ISO 27001/BSI) is essential, alongside a strong identification with the values of the Catholic Church.
