Job Summary

The State Building Management of Southern Lower Saxony is seeking an Electrical Engineering Specialist or Technician to manage building infrastructure projects for state and federal clients. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, construction management, and billing of new construction, modifications, expansions, and maintenance work, specifically focusing on building technology infrastructure. Key duties include coordinating specialized experts, providing technical consultation to clients, and participating in contract negotiations. Successful candidates must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, or be a certified Technician, coupled with practical experience in building technology planning and construction management. The position requires strong technical knowledge of relevant electrical and building code regulations, proficiency in MS Office, and a commitment to economical construction practices, offering a secure, public-sector position with flexible working hours.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Dipl.-Ing. FH, Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering or comparable field, or Certified State Technician in Electrical Engineering. Eligibility for civil service career path (Laufbahngruppe 2, 1. Einstiegsamt) required for beamte.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of practical construction experience in planning and construction management of building technology infrastructure (for university graduates)
  • Minimum 5 years of practical construction experience in planning and construction management of building technology infrastructure (for certified technicians)
  • Professional experience in contract negotiation (participation)
  • Knowledge of business processes in public construction administration (advantageous)
