Job Summary

This role involves supporting the implementation of data acquisition processes from laboratory equipment and experiments, ensuring compliance with FAIR data standards (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). The Data Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining data acquisition protocols and data models for processing and analyzing scientific data. A key aspect is close collaboration with lab experts, Data Scientists, and other stakeholders to identify and implement data-related requirements. Furthermore, the role requires monitoring, optimizing, and documenting data pipelines and storage solutions to ensure efficient workflows, promoting the automation of digital processes as a "Digital Workflow Developer." Candidates should possess a degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or Life Sciences with a focus on Data Engineering, or equivalent professional training and relevant experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Professional experience with Python and SQL
  • Experience working with REST-APIs
  • Conceptual understanding of data aggregation and alignment
  • Experience in Biologics (ideally)
