Job Summary

This role seeks an Electrical and Communications Systems Engineer to join the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR) in Berlin, focusing on high-profile federal construction projects for institutions like the German Bundestag and the Federal Chancellery. Day-to-day responsibilities involve collaborating within the Technical Building Equipment (TGA) domain, specifically managing electrical and communications systems. You will act as the client representative, coordinating external planning consultants and contractors, managing contracts and amendments, reviewing cost estimates, and ensuring adherence to strict deadlines, quality, and budget requirements. A core function is conducting technical acceptance inspections for all electrical trade services, including meticulous defect documentation and tracking. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Information, or Communications Engineering and brings at least three years of relevant professional experience, particularly in project management and construction execution/site supervision. Success in this position requires excellent German proficiency (C2) and the ability to successfully pass a federal security clearance.
