Job Summary
This role is for a passionate Development Engineer specializing in Inverter and Power Electronics, focusing on creating the next generation of products for the automotive and aerospace industries. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining system and subcomponent specifications, developing holistic inverter system concepts, and designing the mechanical, electrical, and thermal aspects of the inverter. A key part of the job involves conducting and evaluating simulations (electronics, thermal, mechanical) and optimizing for EMC. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams (mechanics, hardware, EMC) and manage testing and validation according to the V-model. Optional tasks include software commissioning, calibration, and performance analysis. This position requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or Vehicle Technology, mandatory expertise in power electronics and inverter technology, and strong proficiency in both German and English.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Technology, or comparable field
Experience
- Fundamental knowledge in power electronics and inverter technology is mandatory
- Experience in creating technical specifications and requirement documents
- Knowledge in EMC-compliant design and simulation tools (e.g., Spice, FEM, CFD)
- Knowledge in test execution and validation
