Job Summary
The Märkisches Werk, a global market and technology leader in industrial engine components, is seeking a Materials Tester to join their manufacturing team in Großbodungen, Thuringia. This role is crucial for maintaining high quality standards across complex metallic components used in marine, power generation, and high-performance industries. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting, analyzing, and documenting material tests, utilizing both destructive and non-destructive testing methods such as Penetrant Testing (PT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT). The successful candidate will also be responsible for creating and archiving testing programs for 2D and 3D measuring machines, investigating deviations, and optimizing testing procedures within the quality management system. This position offers a responsible and varied role with significant creative freedom, flat hierarchies, and opportunities for professional development in quality assurance and process optimization.
Required Skills
Education
Completed commercial-technical apprenticeship in a metalworking profession; Certification for non-destructive testing methods (e.g., UT and/or PT) desirable
Experience
- 2–3 years of professional experience in materials testing (desirable)
- Professional experience in a metalworking profession
- Experience with analytical and structured working methods
