Job Summary

This role involves managing and organizing waste streams within the university's waste management department, ensuring compliance with the German Circular Economy Act. The successful candidate will be responsible for the independent organization of scrap metal and plastic storage, preparing materials for recycling, and assisting with the overall management and documentation of waste storage. Key day-to-day tasks include handling chemically hazardous waste, preparing hazardous materials for disposal, and performing loading and transport duties. The position requires either formal training as a Chemical Technical Assistant or several years of professional experience in a certified waste disposal company. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and good English skills are necessary, along with physical resilience and a Class B driving license. This is a part-time (90%), permanent position starting March 1, 2026, offering a responsible role in environmental protection within a supportive, collegial team environment.

Experience
