Job Summary
This role seeks a dedicated Civil or Environmental Engineer specializing in Urban Water Management to significantly contribute to the future development of drainage systems in Kassel. Day-to-day responsibilities involve strategic general planning, including the development, updating, and review of master plans for urban water systems. A core function is executing complex hydraulic and hydrological calculations in both 1D and 2D, managing associated measurement data, and conducting pollutant load simulations. The position requires independent planning of wastewater structures and facilities, specifically managing HOAI planning phases 1 through 5, and acting as the client representative. Candidates must hold a relevant engineering degree and possess at least three years of professional experience, along with proven expertise in general water planning and modeling techniques. The successful candidate must be highly reliable, possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate fluent German proficiency to coordinate effectively with internal and external planning partners. Experience
- At least 3 years in Civil or Environmental Engineering, specifically Urban Water Management
- Alternatively, at least 5 years of professional experience in comparable fields
- Proven experience in general urban water management planning and object planning
- Experience with 1D and 2D rainfall-runoff modeling and pollutant load simulations
