Job Summary
The Polymer Chemist will join the SmartDyeLivery team, focusing on the development of "smart nanocarriers" for targeted drug delivery systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include extensive R&D lab work, specifically the synthesis, modification, and purification of novel organic compounds, with a strong emphasis on polymers and particles. A core function involves the characterization and analysis of these polymeric materials utilizing advanced analytical methods such as NMR, SEC, MS, HPLC, DLS, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The role also requires optimizing synthesis processes and performing scale-up procedures for chemical methods. Candidates must possess a degree in Chemistry and several years of professional experience, ideally within an industrial setting, coupled with deep practical expertise in organic synthesis and polymer chemistry. This position offers a responsible and varied scope of work, promoting independent action and interdisciplinary collaboration in a modern R&D environment in Jena.
