Job Summary

This role involves bridging the gap between academic AI/machine learning research and practical industrial applications within ABB's Corporate Research Center Germany. The Scientist will be responsible for adopting cutting-edge AI technologies, particularly focusing on how graph technologies (knowledge graphs, graph neural networks) can enhance the reliability and efficiency of industrial processes and drive autonomous operations. Day-to-day tasks include working with diverse industrial data (textual, tabular, time series), building compelling proof-of-concepts, and collaborating closely with end-customers and global product development teams in agile research projects. The ideal candidate holds a PhD in a relevant field, possesses deep expertise in graph technologies and AI/ML, and has hands-on experience in software development and Python.
