Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Ministry of the Interior, Digitization, and Municipalities in Baden-Württemberg by coordinating IT deployment across the entire state administration and driving the implementation of the state's IT strategy. The Administrative Officer will act as a key contact for fundamental organizational and technological issues, represent the Ministry in inter-departmental IT committees, and respond to parliamentary and public inquiries related to IT. Key tasks include contributing to the development of state-wide architecture management, independently testing and documenting specialized technical topics (such as comparing Office products or AI services), and participating in projects focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cloud solutions. The ideal candidate must possess a university degree in Computer Science or a comparable field, coupled with professional experience in software development methods, database structures, and IT environment architectures, demonstrating a strong understanding of administrative business processes and resulting IT requirements. This position offers a responsible, varied, and interesting role within a motivated public sector environment, supporting the state's Chief Information Officer (CIO).

  • Professional experience in software development (methods, databases, frameworks, tools, patterns)

  • Experience in understanding business processes in administration and resulting IT requirements
