Job Summary

The BFI Group, an established IT service provider operating across Germany since 1998, is seeking an IT Onsite Support Engineer to join their team in Ingolstadt. This role is crucial for maintaining IT infrastructure and ensuring high service availability for clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing patching, managing power and network cabling (copper and fiber optic) in data centers and server rooms, and executing on-site services like IMAC/R (Install, Move, Add, Change/Remove). The engineer will also handle standard service requests, provide VIP support, and manage logistics such as RSA tokens, inventory, and RMA/Trade-In processes. The ideal candidate must have a completed IT vocational training or equivalent qualification, proven experience in network cabling and patching, and networking skills at a CCNA level. Strong customer orientation, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to work in a 3-shift system and travel for nationwide interventions are essential prerequisites for this challenging and rewarding position.
