Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Environmental Engineer to manage operational waste for the South Bavaria branch, specifically at the Munich-Maisach sub-office. The professional will be responsible for implementing internal waste management processes, providing expert legal consultation on waste and environmental law (especially concerning mineral waste disposal and recycling), and coordinating environmental preliminary surveys. Key duties include managing the electronic waste verification procedure (eANV), serving as the main contact for environmental authorities and engineering firms, and conducting technical reviews related to waste management. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Environmental Engineering or equivalent, possesses knowledge of relevant German environmental and procurement laws, and demonstrates strong communication and negotiation skills to ensure the safe and sustainable operation of critical highway infrastructure.

Education

University degree (Dipl.-Ing. (FH), Bachelor) in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technology, or equivalent qualification acquired through professional experience

Experience

  • Professional experience in waste management
  • Experience in road maintenance and operational services or relevant specialization during studies
  • Knowledge of German Waste, Nature Conservation, and Environmental Protection Law (e.g., KrWG, BNatSchG, BBodSchV, ErsatzbaustoffV, DepV, RuVA-StB 01, GefStoffV)
