Job Summary
This role involves actively integrating environmental and nature conservation principles into demanding energy and utility infrastructure projects, specifically focusing on power line routes and supply facilities in Schwerin. The specialist will provide expert support for project planning, design, and execution, working closely with project managers and authorities. Key responsibilities include conducting baseline data research, preparing nature conservation approval documents, developing Landscape Conservation Plans (LBP) and species protection reports, and managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA). The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Environmental Engineering, Ecology, or a related field, possesses strong knowledge of relevant environmental standards and regulations, and is proficient in negotiation and independent project management. This is a secure, full-time (38 hours/week) contract for 18 months (parental leave cover), offering flexible working arrangements including the possibility of home office after structured onboarding.

Experience
- Knowledge of relevant environmental and nature conservation standards and guidelines
- Experience in the planning and design of utility routes (advantageous)
- Project management experience (desirable)
