Job Summary

This Senior Data Scientist role, based near Mainz-Bingen for an internationally operating industrial company, involves leading and implementing high-value, data-driven solutions. The successful candidate will take a key role in developing business and customer-oriented data analytics, applying advanced analytical methods to solve complex problems, and supporting informed decision-making. Day-to-day tasks include managing and monitoring Data Science activities, optimizing the Data Analytics framework, and overseeing models in production. Key requirements include a Master's or PhD in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Computer Science, or Bioinformatics), at least six years of relevant experience, deep understanding of modern statistical concepts, and proficiency in R and Python. The position offers flexibility, including a home office option, and is initially a temporary assignment with the strong possibility of permanent employment and full takeover.
