Job Summary

This role is ideal for an experienced automation professional who enjoys automating power plants but prefers to minimize travel and on-site programming. As an Automation Technician (Simulation) based in Essen, you will be responsible for developing high-fidelity simulations of power plant automation systems and linking them to the simulated field level. Key tasks include coordinating simulation-specific inquiries with control system engineers and manufacturers, and performing validation and verification of the control system simulation. You will also contribute to the continuous development of the in-house toolset and optimization of development processes. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Information Technology with a focus on Automation Technology, along with professional experience in power plant process automation using common control systems (e.g., SPPA T3000, PCS7, ABB 800xA).
