Job Summary

This temporary, part-time role supports the organizational and pedagogical leadership team within the local Adult Education Center (VHS) in Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Berlin. The specialist will be responsible for implementing needs-based, participant-oriented educational programs and managing related public relations. Core duties involve collaborating across various program areas, handling conflict management for participants and course instructors, and advising stakeholders. Administratively, the role requires coordinating with external educational providers, acquiring suitable venues for courses, and managing financial processes, including verifying order forms, processing instructor payments, and handling third-party funded projects. Candidates must possess a university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Public Administration, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field, or hold equivalent administrative qualifications. Professional experience in project organization is highly desirable. Required Skills

Education

University Degree (Bachelor, Diploma (FH), 1st State Examination) in Public Administration, Public Economics, Social Sciences, Political Science, or Regional Science; OR Administrative Course II; OR Certified Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt*in); OR Recognized vocational training with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience as an administrative specialist in Public Administration (if alternative qualifications are used)
  • Professional experience in project organization (Desirable)
