Job Summary

The Fraunhofer Research Facility for Battery Cell Production (FFB) is seeking a Research Associate to join the 'Digitalization of Battery Cell Manufacturing' division. This role is crucial for advancing and optimizing battery cell production across the entire value chain, from raw materials to the finished cell, using data-driven methods. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying opportunities for data-driven use cases, developing scalable data preprocessing pipelines for heterogeneous data sources, and designing, developing, and maintaining data ontologies for semantic modeling and system interoperability. The successful candidate will also analyze and develop methods for simulation and intelligent coupling of simulation models to enable data-based decision support. This position is attractive as it offers the chance to contribute to a lighthouse project shaping the future of economic and ecological battery production in Europe, with opportunities for doctoral studies and professional development in an inspiring, collaborative environment.
