Job Summary
This role is for an expert in cost accounting and procurement procedures within the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating cost accounting, overseeing booking processes, ensuring data quality, and conducting financial analyses, including month-end and year-end closings. A significant part of the role involves supporting the head of the procurement unit, preparing and executing national and EU-wide procurement processes, and providing guidance to bidders. The position also requires expertise in tax law, particularly regarding VAT liability for revenues and contracts. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent FH degree, or qualification as a 'Verwaltungsfachwirt/in' (Administrative Specialist) or VL II, or comparable knowledge and skills in public service, or completed commercial vocational training.
Experience
- Professional experience in general administrative service (public sector)
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in administration / budgeting (for candidates with commercial vocational training)
