Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the seamless operation of the entire IT infrastructure for one of Europe's largest universities, based at their headquarters in Essen. The Specialist will be responsible for managing, administering, and optimizing virtualized systems, including servers, networks, telecommunications, storage, databases, backup solutions, and endpoints. A key part of the job includes internal consulting on IT security, infrastructure planning, and hardware/software deployment, as well as actively participating in internal IT projects and ensuring quality documentation. Candidates must bring a completed technical vocational education and strong practical knowledge in administering VMware, Veeam Backup, Microsoft Office 365 (Exchange Hybrid), and Active Directory.
