Job Summary

Join one of Europe's largest media houses to fundamentally reshape media production infrastructure, transitioning from traditional cabling to fully IP-based signal networking (LiveIP). This specialist role, based in Cologne, focuses on integrating IT, audio/video technology, and networking within the Broadcast environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include the administration, configuration, and continuous development of the WDR LiveIP infrastructure using DevOps principles. You will be instrumental in the conception and realization of the LiveIP system landscape, expanding Broadcast applications, and performing 2nd/3rd-level incident analysis and resolution. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in media technology or a related field, deep knowledge of Broadcast production workflows, and familiarity with IP-based audio/video transmission technologies like SMPTE 2110. Experience with orchestration systems (e.g., Nevion VideoIPath) and configuration tools like Ansible or Git is highly desirable, alongside strong German (B2) and good English skills.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the operational production workflows of the Broadcast environment
  • Professional experience with current technologies of IP-based audio/video transmission (e.g., SMPTE 2110)

  • Experience in conception and realization of system landscapes
