Job Summary

This role seeks a highly motivated Product Manager to spearhead the development and commercialization of lignin-based products, driving Mercer's entry into the future-oriented biomaterials and biochemicals sector. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market and competitor analyses, identifying innovative applications for lignin, and optimizing the product portfolio through targeted application development. The manager will also be crucial in business development, acquiring strategic new customers, and providing technical support throughout the sales cycle, working closely with R&D and Production departments. Key qualifications include a degree in Material Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering, relevant practical experience in application technology (ideally in the plastics, resin, or chemical industry), and fluent German and English skills. This is an attractive opportunity to shape a new business area in a growing international company, initially offered as an 18-month fixed-term contract with the potential for permanent employment.
