Job Summary

The City of Dortmund is seeking a qualified Engineer, Technician, or Master Craftsman specializing in Civil Engineering, particularly deep/underground construction, to manage technical processing in the Traffic Signage and Marking division. This role involves comprehensive project management, from planning (Lph. 1 to 9 based on StVO/German Road Traffic Regulations) and calculation to the execution and final billing of signage and marking projects. Day-to-day tasks include creating tender documents, overseeing construction sites, instructing marking companies, conducting acceptance procedures, and managing framework contracts. The specialist will also lead projects related to charging facilities and coordinate the planning and maintenance of dialogue displays. This position requires strong project steering experience, physical resilience for fieldwork, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment, contributing directly to the city's traffic safety infrastructure.
