Job Summary

This senior engineering role involves leading the Infrastructure Subdivision for the city of Stutensee, with a primary technical focus on wastewater disposal and management. The successful candidate will assume general leadership duties, including full personnel responsibility for the subdivision (covering streets, water supply, wastewater, and waterways). Day-to-day tasks include acting as the technical manager for the wastewater sector, organizational restructuring of wastewater disposal, and serving as the client representative and project coordinator for new construction and maintenance measures related to wastewater systems and the sewage treatment plant. You will also manage and maintain the infrastructure database (GIS) for wastewater. Key requirements include a relevant university degree in engineering (e.g., Civil or Environmental), multi-year professional experience in wastewater project planning and implementation, and proven leadership experience with personnel management. Expertise in German water/wastewater law and construction regulations (VOB, HOAI) is mandatory.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diplom-Ingenieur or equivalent) in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technology and Urban Water Management, Water and Supply Technology, Energy Technology, Process Engineering, or Civil Engineering.

Experience

  • Multi-year professional experience in technical planning and implementation of projects, particularly in wastewater disposal and management
  • Proven experience in a leadership position with personnel responsibility
  • Initial professional experience in Water and Wastewater Law
