Job Summary

This Senior Scientific Director role is pivotal in driving multiple drug discovery programs within Research and Early Development (RED) Oncology. The successful candidate will lead activities ranging from initial target identification through to supporting early clinical development, while also defining and supporting the overall research strategy in Cancer Biology. A core responsibility involves implementing crucial back translational strategies that bridge drug discovery and clinical application. The role demands significant collaboration across R&D functions, management of external academic and CRO networks, and contribution to key regulatory documentation. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology and possess several years of industry experience demonstrating successful advancement of oncology therapeutics, particularly those focused on biomarker-driven patient populations.   • Substantial experience in the design and execution of early-stage research program(s) to identify and validate novel targets
  • Experience in strategic planning, project leadership, and laboratory and budget management in a matrixed organization
