Job Summary

This critical leadership role involves managing the 'Network' division within the Nuremberg Fire Department's Electrical and Communication Technology unit. The Group Leader is responsible for the operation and strategic expansion of the city's communication network, which includes fiber optic and copper infrastructure crucial for fire alarm reception and municipal data/telephony services. Day-to-day tasks include personnel coordination, managing work organization, strategic planning for network expansion, and ensuring smooth project execution by coordinating various departments and external contractors. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Electrical or Communication Technology, or equivalent qualifications (Master Technician/Technician), coupled with experience in network development and team leadership. This position requires strong organizational skills, reliability, and the willingness to participate in on-call and fault services outside regular hours, offering a secure, full-time position within the public sector.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or Diploma (FH) degree in Electrical and Communication Technology or a comparable field, OR successfully completed qualification as a Master Technician or Technician in Electrical Engineering, Information and Telecommunication Technology, or Energy and Building Technology.

Experience
