Job Summary

This role is a critical position within the Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Transport, focusing on the coordination and management of new road and earthworks projects in the Verden region. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating workflows for new construction, preparing tender documents for road and earthworks, and providing technical guidance to construction supervision staff, including external engineering firms. The engineer will also be responsible for managing awarded contracts, processing change orders and supplements, and monitoring warranty claims. Key qualifications include a degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a comparable field, comprehensive IT skills (especially MS Office), and strong German language proficiency. This is a permanent, full-time public service position offering stability, flexible working hours, and opportunities for mobile working.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed university degree (Diplom/FH or Bachelor) in Civil Engineering or a comparable technical field. For civil servants, eligibility for the first entry level of Career Group 2, Technical Services, is required.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Civil Engineering or a comparable technical field
  • Experience in coordinating workflows for new construction projects
  • Experience in preparing tender documents and managing contracts for construction measures
