Job Summary

AaviGen, a cutting-edge preclinical biotech company developing innovative gene therapies using heart-specific AAV vectors for cardiovascular and cardiopulmonary diseases, seeks a Senior Scientist to join their dynamic research team. This pivotal role involves actively shaping the development of the lead program by independently conceiving, executing, and evaluating experiments assessing the molecular cardiac function of the product in preclinical in vitro and in vivo models. Key responsibilities include planning and conducting complex heart function studies, such as Excitation-Contraction Coupling and Ca++ Cycling measurements, alongside applying complementary molecular biology techniques like dPCR, Western Blot, and ELISA. The role requires meticulous data analysis, documentation, and presentation, as well as coordinating research and analyzing data obtained from external partners (e.g., Ultrasound and MRI). Candidates must possess deep expertise in cardiac physiology and relevant practical experience in advanced cardiac models or imaging techniques.
