Job Summary

This role as an Electrical Development Engineer involves end-to-end responsibility for developing electrical devices, segments, and systems. Daily tasks include translating high-level requirements into concrete specifications, defining solution principles, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. A significant part of the job focuses on ensuring compliance by creating standard-compliant development and manufacturing documentation, including detailed wiring diagrams and bills of materials (BOMs) within SAP PLM. The engineer is also responsible for planning and coordinating the commissioning of initial prototypes and performing rigorous testing during the development phase. Key requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and several years of professional experience, ideally encompassing knowledge of electrical drives, power supplies, and processor systems. Expertise in the E3-series cable development tool and familiarity with military standards, particularly concerning EMC for land vehicles and ships, are essential. The position requires fluent German and English skills, strong organizational abilities, and a structured, independent approach to work.

Required Skills

Education

Completed Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field

Experience

  • Several years of experience in electrical development of devices and systems
  • Experience with electrical drives, power supplies, computer systems, and processors (ideally)
  • Experience using the cable development tool E3-series
  • Foundational knowledge of military norms and standards (especially EMC and power supplies for land vehicles and ships)
